BE²ST - Brighton Education/Economic Summit Team
Brighton’s greatest assets are its citizens and growing young families. The quality of the workforce we are developing today and tomorrow will be a critical factor in determining our success. Education and economic development are becoming synonymous. Brighton has a strong heritage of supporting education.
- Employers are concerned with finding degreed or technical talent for their businesses
- Like the rest of the country, employers would like to see more focus on work ethics and business needs throughout the educational system
- Brighton has the opportunity to have at least one higher education campus expand in the community. Providing higher educational facilities to our citizens in Brighton will foster more lifelong learning.
A focus on education from P-16 and lifelong learning will help Brighton’s citizens compete for current and future employment opportunities
