With a town make up of 76.9% Caucasian, 38.2% Hispanic, 1/5 Native American, 1/15 Asian American and 1% African American, (in terms of population by ethnicity), Brighton features an inclusive mix of residents, housing, businesses and activities.

Since 1990, the population of Brighton has steadily increased from 14,186 residents to nearly 30,000 in 2005.The population is growing because new residents see the advantages of easy transportation access, reasonable housing costs, quality schools and the quality of life associated with a smaller, inclusive community.
