School District 27J provides superior educational service to the entire City of Brighton and portions of the cities of Aurora, Commerce City and Thornton, the City and County of Broomfield, and unincorporated areas of Adams and Weld Counties. 

The mission of the school district, with the support of the family and community, is to ensure that all students have the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for present and future competence and success.

Project Lead the Way


Project Lead the Way’s pre‐engineering curriculum, software and professional development programs can help schools forge new generations of engineers. School District 27J offers high school classes in pre‐engineering including Intro to Engineering, Principles of Engineering, Civil Engineering/Architecture, and Digital Electronics for grades 9‐12.

PLTW is centered on the idea of bringing pre‐engineering curriculum and concepts to students through practical application while their opinions about careers and interests are forming. The proven “formula” provides students the skills they need to succeed in tomorrow’s technical fields and the confidence to believe in themselves.

 

District 27J Preschool
 

The District 27J Preschool focuses on helping young children develop positive self-concept, language, and social skills.Curriculum focuses on developing positive self‐concept, language and social skills.

A non‐tuition preschool for qualifying students, 27J Preschool is located in most neighborhood elementary schools and in the Brighton Learning and Resource Campus.
