Brighton, Colorado – Downtown Brighton is ready to expand its retail base. The Brighton Economic Development Corporation is announcing the sale of the Brighton Pavilions. The trendy, outdoor shopping destination – already home to several national retailers, restaurants and specialty shops – was sold in three separate private transactions in auction on October 13, 2011.
Current tenants include Lone Star Steakhouse, a drive-thru Starbucks, Qdoba Mexican Grill and Cold Stone Creamery. Future retailers will be attracted by the success of these current operations as well as the pavilion’s anchor, an AMC 12 movie theater.
About 20,000 square feet is available for lease. Potential tenants will benefit from the Pavilion’s vicinity to an RTD park-n-ride, nearby densely-populated neighborhoods, and tenant visibility from Highway 85 and Interstate 76.
“We are excited to have new, private owners so we can move forward with filling the space. We are prepared to support the new owners in attracting quality tenants,” said Raymond H. Gonzales, President and CEO, Brighton Economic Development Corporation.
The Pavilion’s retail center is important not only to the fast-growing city of Brighton, but the surrounding trade area. Brighton is the closest and largest retail hub for many smaller communities in the vicinity, including Ft. Lupton, Hudson, Keenesburg, Lochbuie, and northern Commerce City. There are over 83,000 people within a 10-minute drive of Brighton, with most households earning more than $70,000.
