A unique public/private partnership serving the greater Brighton area, our goal is promoting and developing new and expanded business to provide and encourage employment and expand the tax base of the City of Brighton.                               

Invest in BEDC

Broad based support from business and community leaders is essential to achieving and maintaining economic vitality. Brighton Economic Development Corporation relies on funding from the City of Brighton as well as commitments from our investors.

Because the City of Brighton covers a majority of our overhead items and staff salaries, all the financial support from investors goes directly to our program activities.

Your contribution may be eligible for Enterprise Zone Credits, which are deductible from Colorado based taxable income. Your Colorado credit will equal 25% of your total investment.

Private investors contribute yearly to help finance and support Brighton EDC's proactive efforts to recruit quality companies that provide quality jobs for the citizens of Brighton.

Investment Levels

Board of Directors

Investment Level $7,500+

The BEDC is governed by The Board of Directors, which is comprised of influential public and private sector leaders.  They have shown their commitment to the BEDC by investing at the major investment level.  Pending approval by the Executive Committee, they are invited to become members of the Board.  The Board of Directors meets six times annually (three times with the Trustees) to receive reports from the working committees, to vote on the annual budget, and to attend to other matters of governance.

Trustees

Investment Level $5,000

The Trustees of the Brighton Economic Development Corporation is an influential group of Colorado’s leading business, and civic leaders who annually invest $5,000 and offer their expertise and support at three meetings annually with the Board of Directors.  Trustees are charged with electing the Officers that serve on the Executive Committee.

The Investors of the Brighton Economic Development Corporation are primary stakeholders in the community who invest $3500 and offer their expertise and support by participating in working committee meetings.  Investor play a critical role in implementing the goals outlined in the two year strategic plan.   Investors attend one (1) Board of Director meeting and elect the Officers that serve on the Executive Committee.
