Retail Analysis Service
Brighton Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) is a unique economic development organization that not only pursues primary jobs but also retail opportunities in order to generate sales tax and provide a quality of life the residents of the Brighton area desire. BEDC representatives regularly attend the International Conference of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in Las Vegas and San Diego as an effort to meet with retailers desires and present what Brighton has to offer retailers. The Buxton Community ID supplements current efforts by providing standards the retailers require for site considerations and analytic support for new and existing retail.
In 2011, Brighton Economic Development entered into a partnership with Buxton Analytics to do a retail site assessment known as CommunityID. CommunityID is a retail development strategy that is a four part process:
- Research and Verify Brighton’s Retail Trade Areas
- Evaluate Brighton’s Retail Potential
- Match Retailers and Restaurants to Brighton’s Market Potential
- Deliver Marketing Packages
Our partnership with Buxton is long term and we use their tools to build on our continued relationships with current and future retailers, developers, and other prospective businesses in Brighton.
