Enterprise Zone Opportunity

Colorado Enterprise Zone

Much of our city is located in a state Enterprise Zone, or one that has been economically distressed. Businesses locating in an enterprise zone may be eligible for benefits including:

• A 3% investment tax credit
• A 3% research and development tax credit
• $200 per employee tax credit, for two years, for employer health insurance programs
• 10% tax credit for expenditures for job training and school-to-work programs
• $500 job tax credit (per each new employee)
• Additional $1,000 per employee tax credit for agricultural processing jobs
• 25% tax credit for rehabilitation of vacant buildings
• A 1.5% tax credit for commercial vehicle purchases
