The City of Brighton and the Brighton Economic Development Corporation are distributing free PPE face coverings, gloves, and thermometers to local Brighton Businesses!
With funds made available through the federal CARES Act, the city of Brighton has purchased disposable PPE face coverings, disposable gloves, and thermometers. These PPE items will be distributed to local businesses that fill out an online application managed by the Brighton Economic Development Corporation (BEDC). Brighton businesses can submit a request for up to 120 masks/one bag, 300-400 pairs of gloves/3-4 boxes, and 2 thermometers per business location. Businesses can reapply every 2 weeks from the date of their last application submission for additional disposable PPE items (face coverings and gloves).
Businesses will be able to make an appointment to collect their reserved PPE items from Brighton Historic City Hall (22 S 4th Ave, Brighton, CO 80601) Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Once a business has submitted their request they will be contacted via email or phone to confirm their pick up time and date. Please ensure that when you are picking up your items that you practice safe social distancing of 6 or more feet as well as wearing a mask or face covering while in the building’s parking lot. Those picking up PPE items will be asked to notify the EDC of their arrival by using the building's intercom calling system or by calling the office at 303-655-2155. A city employee will meet them at the east parking lot entrance with their own face covering.
Items will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. Businesses have 48 hours to contact us to reschedule their pickup time if they missed it before their PPE items are considered forfeited to the next person in line. Businesses will be able to apply for additional PPE every 2 weeks, even if they miss rescheduling a previous pick up. They are not allowed to sell masks face coverings.
This is currently a pilot program that based on Brighton business's responses/needs will determine if this program continues past the currently allotted amounts.
