Unemployment in Metro Denver rose 6.1 percentage points over-the-year to 8.3 percent in December 2020. The unemployment rate was 2 percentage points higher than the previous month’s rate.
National retail sales activity rose 2 percent over-the-year in November, with eight of the 13 supersectors reporting increases during the period.
Residential building permits in Metro Denver totaled 3,049 units permitted in December, an increase of 22.4 percent, or 558 units, from the same time last year.
